Cut & Skived!

Here is the piece that I chose to use.  Since it is out of the norm for me since there is no tooling involved, it took me a while to figure out what design I wanted to use.  I laid out my pattern and drew a pen marking of the final size.  I the cut the piece out leaving about 1/2 inch all around.  Using my pen marking, I used my C.S. Obsorne skiving knife and just inside the line, I started skiving the leather outward to a paper thin size (I have to thank Peter Main) for showing me how to properly skive leather.  Now to the corners so they fold properly and then a stiffener.
