Well, another project is done. This is a coin case design that I was working on. Everything was glue together and edges were completed.
I like the edge finish on here! Is it Edge Kote?
Nope, I was demo-ing a new product from Seiwa Japan called Coba Coat. It is a mixture of water, burnishing agent, dye and lacquer all in one. With the exception of the final product being really shining, I am good with the results so far. This is a dark brown color Coba Coat. Thanks for asking
Yeah you can only expect quality stuff from Japan! Was thinking it could also be that new Duraedge stuff from Fiebings also.
I have only heard a couple of good and bad things about the results of that Dura Edge, but I have no experience with it.
Majority of the leather goods I do are dyed black. What would you recommend for a good edge finish? Thanks!
Please search my past blog post for I have listed my edge process. This Coba Coat might be the stuff for you. Eitherway, I stick to Fiebing's oil black dye for my edges
Please search my past posts for my edging process. I posted all of my steps for anyone, but this Coba Coat might be the ticket for you. In my process, I use Fiebing's black oil dye.
Will definitely check out your past post's for sure! Thanks again!
