Coin Case Prototype Done

Well, another project is done.  This is a coin case design that I was working on.  Everything was glue together and edges were completed.

  1. I like the edge finish on here! Is it Edge Kote?

  2. Nope, I was demo-ing a new product from Seiwa Japan called Coba Coat. It is a mixture of water, burnishing agent, dye and lacquer all in one. With the exception of the final product being really shining, I am good with the results so far. This is a dark brown color Coba Coat. Thanks for asking

  3. Yeah you can only expect quality stuff from Japan! Was thinking it could also be that new Duraedge stuff from Fiebings also.

  4. I have only heard a couple of good and bad things about the results of that Dura Edge, but I have no experience with it.

  5. Majority of the leather goods I do are dyed black. What would you recommend for a good edge finish? Thanks!

  6. Please search my past blog post for I have listed my edge process. This Coba Coat might be the stuff for you. Eitherway, I stick to Fiebing's oil black dye for my edges

  7. Please search my past posts for my edging process. I posted all of my steps for anyone, but this Coba Coat might be the ticket for you. In my process, I use Fiebing's black oil dye.
