Panels Sewn in Place

I place a very small bead of contact cement down all of the edges so they will hold in place while you sew them.  I then took my adjustable groover and released the screw.  I then set the distance of the groove based on the leather thickness.  I then cut a groove for my stitches.  Caution: remember that on two panels your sewing channel will end where the shorter panels stop towards the top.  Once the grooves where cut, I used my modified Tandy sewing chisel and placed my stitching holes on each side making sure that my chisel was perpendicular to the leather for straight stitching results.  Now, on to the bottom piece....
