Happy belated Thanksgiving from a Northern friend!I always find it odd how Canada and the US celebrate the same day a little over a month apart from each other. :)Anyways, this comment is just a segue into me getting some help from you and thanking you for your blog. I'm just getting into leatherworking and I'm soaking up all of the information I can find. This blog is a neat resource to see methods and ideas in action, so thank you for that! The help I need is in regards to an old post of yours: Swivel Knifes Galore (Monday, September 5, 2011). I recently had someone offer to sell me a used swivel knife, but they don't know the maker. An ersatz google image search found me the image you posted. The swivel knife is the one on the top row, far right, with the rounded grip. I can't find any information about it yet. Would you be so kind as to let me know the maker, and if you can, whether or not you like the knife?Cheers and thank you!
Thanks for your comment. I am glad this blog has been helpful which was my intent. Also, if you get a chance, check out www.leatherworker.net another great resource for anyone working leather. As for the swivel knife you mentioned. Let me look into that and I will get back to you soon. Thanks again!
Okay Ben....That knife was made by the X-Acto company. They also produced a set of interchangeable modeling tools which I also have. I see them on eBay every now and then. I actually have two X-Acto swivel knives in my collection. Thanks for asking!
